By default in Windows for certain types of files, items in the context menu are displayed to be used by Windows Media Player.

If you do not use this application, removing the unwanted items can easily be managed without the help of special utilities.

First we need to open the panel  "Default Programs" in any convenient way: from the "Start" menu, Control Panel or through  search, then select "Set Program Access and Defaults".

Default Programs

In the window that opens you need to select and open the configuration "Custom", scroll down to the section "Choose a default media player" and uncheck "enable access to this program" with Windows Media Player.

Now all you need to do is to apply the changes by clicking "OK" and close all the windows. That's it!
