For cleaning up disk in Windows 7 it's not necessary to use third-party utilities, because all versions of this operation system have a simple built-in program for deleting temporary and unused files and elements.

To run this program you need to do the next steps: Start → All Programs →  Accessories →  System Tools →  Disk Cleanup. Or just enter in search field "Disk Cleanup" (in menu "Start") and choose an appropriate program in the list.

The window will appear where we need to choose a disk for cleaning up. Choose it from the list and click "OK".

Then a window will appear for estimating the amount of space which can be free on a selected drive. We wait for the end of process.

After this, the window will appear automatically where in tab "Disk Cleanup" we need to check check-boxes near elements which we wish to delete.

After choosing appropriate elements we need to click button "OK" and then button "Delete Files".

For more serious and deep cleaning up may be used free specialized packages and utilities, for example "Red Button", "CCleaner" and other similar programs.
